    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    A wide band filled with interlacing lines that create small squares. There are the remains of a rhombic shape, possibly once containing an inscription. There is a zigzag border along both sides of the band. The embroidery defines the pattern.

    Apparently there was a selvedge, although this is now badly deteriorated. The embroidered band is at right angles to it.
