    The Barlow Collection

Fine monochrome white porcelain bowls were made particularly during the Yongle reign (1403–1424), but the present piece differs from the 15th-century pieces in material, potting and profile.

The conical bowl is very thinly potted, with a flat centre inside, a slightly flared rim, and a short, somewhat splayed foot. The piece is undecorated.
