    The Barlow Collection

The wide rounded bowl has a flared rim and a splayed foot with broad straight-cut footring with bevelled edges, and with a hollowed-out groove around it on the outside. The light pinkish-beige body appears to have been fired at a fairly high temperature and seems to approach stoneware. It has been covered with a white slip and a transparent glaze with a bluish-green tinge, decorated with overall cobalt-blue splashes. The lower half of the sides and the underside are free of glaze and largely free of slip.
