The A. H. Church Collection of Japanese Sword-Guards (Tsuba)
Long mokkō of flowing outline, with thickened border of rounded edge; in rich gold nunome, spreading over the edge, are five groups of branching karakusa scrolls each surrounding a kiri badge. Signed: Hakuman [Japanese text] Nobutoshi [Japanese text] tsukuru, with double-gourd nunome gold seal Hakuman. (Same artist as that of No. 1073 [EAX.11073], in the Tanaka Group.)
