    Catalogue of Islamic Seals and Talismans

    Cornelian, in undecorated, rectangular silver setting with an oval opening on the front face (element of bracelet); bezel (?), slightly cut on the border but this is covered by the setting; rectangular. Three lines separated by straight lines formed by elongations of a ligature. Cursive script; engraved.

    (1) 'In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. Say: "He is بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قل هو
    (2) God, One, God the Everlasting Refuge, who has not begotten, الله احد الله الصمد لم يلد
    (3) and has not been begotten, and no one is equal to him." ' (Qur. CXII) ولم يولد ولم يكن له كفوا احد

    There are groups of dots spread over the ground. One line follows the shape of the gem.
