The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

Three narrow parallel bands are filled with hexagons containing S-shaped pulled work with wrapping stitches in diagonal rows, drawn-thread work with overcast stitch, and swastika worked in satin stitch, all embroidered with undyed silk. Set between the hexagons are small blue triangles in fine darning stitch worked over and under one thread.

There is a rolled hem at one narrow end. The width of the bands is 1 cm each, and they are spaced out at a distance of 3.3 cm.
