    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    A wide band with large, linked diamonds each filled with a knotted interlace, embroidered in blue pattern darning running stitch outlines and remains of yellow to fill the interior. The band also has a wide interlace border.

    The embroidery is very fragmentary. The background to the diamond shapes was once embroidered with pulled work with yellow wrapping stitch in diagonal rows.
