    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    A band with four turquoise diamond shapes, each embroidered in slanted counted filling stitch worked in diagonal rows and containing a rectangle with an inscription in dark blue running stitch. All outlines are embroidered in double running stitch.

    The band is set between a selvedge on one side, and a finely rolled and whipped hem on the other.
