    The A. H. Church Collection of Japanese Sword-Guards (Tsuba)

    Polished surface; in fused sawari inlay on the front are the leaves and tendrils of a vine, with grapes in shakudō inlay; at the back is a squirrel in sawari inlay of fine lines. Signed: Seishū Kameyama no jū ("resident of Kameyama in Ise province") Masahide [Japanese text] saku.

    Wada, p.85. The largest grape has fallen out and been clumsily replaced.
