The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A tab with a single central plant, embroidered with turquoise blue slanted counted filling stitch worked on the diagonal, with the remains of two pairs of leaves and a flower head. The background has drawn work embroidered with yellow silk thread. The tab has a border with remains of foliage. All turquoise shapes are outlined in reddish brown stem stitch.

The drawn-thread work has needle-woven bars, but also includes some overcast stitches.
