    Nancy Choo Woo moved as a child with her parents to Hong Kong. In 1963 she graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from Cornell University, and got her M.A. from Columbia University in 1964. She lives in Hong Kong where she has taught, and practises as an independent artist.
