    The Barlow Collection

The small piece is of depressed globular form, tapering towards a shallow broad foot and a narrow mouth with raised lip. The shoulder is structured by five concentric grooves. The greyish-white stoneware body is covered with a faintly blue-tinged glaze, which leaves the lowest part of the sides, foot and base free, where the biscuit has a faint gloss. The inside is also unglazed.
