    The Barlow Collection

A similar piece excavated in Dexing city, Jiangxi province, can be dated to AD 1092.

The piece is of deep cup shape with a wide everted rim, supported on a tall stem with three everted ribbed tiers, the lowest one flared, pierced with a narrow hole underneath. The translucent glaze has an intense blue tinge, the underside of the foot shows the light yellowish-brown burnt biscuit.
