Royal flag with sun symbol Rajasthan, 19th century (1801 - 1900)

    This radiant sun was the central emblem from a larger, probably triangular flag. It would have been carried in the processions of a Rajput ruler of solar ancestry (claiming descent from Surya the Sun god), such as the Maharana of Mewar.
