    The Barlow Collection

The rounded cups have a small tapering foot with recessed base which is domed on the inside. The inside is moulded in slip relief with a central design of a crab above waves below clouds and the sides with four different fish between clusters of lotus and arrow-head emerging from a band of undulating waves. The glaze has a bluish tinge, the rim is dressed in a bright orange-brown, the outsides are plain and only the underside of the footring unglazed. The walls are highly translucent.
