    The Barlow Collection

The octagonal dish may have been thrown on the wheel and then moulded, the inside is stepped with an octagonal centre, low everted sides and a flat rim with raised lip, the outside has a circular base and octagonal sides with eight radiating raised ribs. The piece is very light in weight, the whitish glaze is degraded and leaves only the rim free, as the piece was fired upside down, standing on the rim. The piece is undecorated.
