    Catalogue of Islamic Seals and Talismans

    Cornelian; bezel, plain (but very slightly rounded) - concave (but only very slightly), bevelled towards the front; oval; back angle very slightly cut. The ground is divided into four segments by two wavy lines placed diagonally, with an inscription in each segment. The reading starts on one of the short sides and continues clockwise. Cursive script (nasta`līq); engraved.
