    Chinese Paintings in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford

    Wang Weibao, who is as well known for his woodblock prints as for his paintings, was born in Jinjiang county in Fujian province. In 1959 he began studying art in Guangzhou, eventually joining the Guangzhou Studio of Painting. He had meanwhile wokred in design departments in industry and publishing, and is primarily a graphic artist.
