A blue octagon contains a six-petalled white rosette; it also has four trefoils and four palmettes arranged alternately around its edge. An attached band has a geometric pattern embroidered with running stitch in blue flax fibre.

The fragments may have been part of a bag or pocket. They are stitched together with a linen lining covered with silk embroidery.
