Catalogue of Islamic Seals and Talismans

Bracelet composed of four elements, almost equal (I, II, III, IV).

II - Yellow-brownish chalcedony, in lightly decorated silver setting; bezel; oval. The inscription is found on the central ground (A), within two oval lines, and on the border (B), surrounded on its outer edge by two oval lines. Three lines separated by the straight lines formed by elongations of ligatures (A), and one line (B). Cursive script; engraved.

A - (1) 'In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. Say: "He is One [sic], [sic] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم قل هو احد
    (2) God, [One], God the Everlasting Refuge, who has not begotten, and has not been be- لله [احد] الله الصمد لم ياد وما يو
    (3) gotten, and no one is equal to him." ' (Qur. CXII) Oh Able One! Oh Ever Forgiving One! لد ولم يكن له كفوا احد يا قادر يا غفار

B - 'God, there is no god but He, the Living, the Everlasting. Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and earth. Who is there that shall intercede with Him save by His leave? He knows what lies before them and what is after them, and they comprehend not anything of His knowledge save such as He wills. His Throne comprises the heavens and earth; the preserving of them oppresses Him not; He is the All-High, the All-glorious.' (Qur. II, 256/255)

There are dots, isolated or in groups, spread over the ground.
