Bi-concave; low-relief modelling and iroye inlay and incrustation; a tiger on each face near a stream and dead trees in a storm of wind and rain; kōgai-hole plugged with gilt metal of "cat-scratched" surface. Signed: Sō ([Japanese text], "old man") Toshiyoshi [Japanese text] tsukuru [Japanese text]. (Murasakibara T., pupil of the founder, aged 51 in 1879.) -
