Literature notes
A continuous design of pointed ovals, each with a beaded surround and filled with two different types of tendrils, white against brown, identical to Cat. no. 746 [EA1990.753]. In addition there are narrow bands of small arches and a continuous vine, white on brown, white parallel poles against red, and a red band with brown medallions filled with white tendrils.
The reverse shows less dye saturation than the surface. The size of the block used was 12 cm. x 8.5 cm. As design and technical details are similar to the previous fragment [EA1990.753], both textiles may have been part of the same fabric. -
