Seated nude with legs crossed

  • Literature notes

Jackson Yu was a leading member of the Circle Art Group in Hong Kong in the 1960s. For the following two decades he painted only in traditional style, and for recreation, but since the late 1980s he has produced paintings in western style. Many are in bright acrylics while some, as here, are executed in the traditional Chinese palette of ink and light colour.
