    Gu Qun first studied Western painting at the Peking National School of Art in 1944. She graduated from the Fine Art Department of Huabei United University in 1949. Later she worked at the Shandong Art College and the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Gu specialized in New Year pictures, stained glass and ceramics.
