    The norm an artist should follow is pursuing rhythm beyond rhythm, image beyond image and taste beyond taste.

    Gao Hua graduated from the Hebei Zhaozhuang Teachers’ Training College in 1980 and was appointed to the Cultural Centre of Guangzong County in Heibei. He is now head of the Cultural Centre. Influenced by traditional Chinese thought, especially Daoism, Gao Hua absorbs traditional Chinese art elements and interweaves calligraphy and poems into his woodcuts, giving his work a literary connotation.Gao Hua graduated from the Hebei Zhaozhuang Teachers’ Training College in 1980 and was appointed to the Cultural Centre of Guangzong County in Heibei. He is now head of the Cultural Centre. Influenced by traditional Chinese thought, especially Daoism, Gao Hua absorbs traditional Chinese art elements and interweaves calligraphy and poems into his woodcuts, giving his work a literary connotation.
