White ware trefoil-shaped box with lid

Literature notes
The small box is finely moulded, of nearly heart-shaped, barbed trefoil form, resting on a low foot of kidney-shaped outline. The cover is moulded in relief with a rosette with seven radiating panels filled with stippled markings and with double lobed outline, forming the centre of three double flower petals with distinct raised central ridges, outlined by borders of thin pearl beading. The sides and underside are plain. The light cream-coloured body is covered with a very smooth opaque white glaze with olive-green tinge where it adheres in a thicker layer; the insides and underside are only partly glazed. -
