Greenware bowl with lotus decoration

Similar bowls were recovered from the wreck of a ship sunk off the Korean coast in 1323.
The wide rounded bowl has a straight narrow foot with straight-cut footring and domed base. The inside is incised with two lotus flowers between sketchy lines suggesting foliage, the outside shows faint lotus petals in the lower half and a rudimentary slanting key-fret border at the rim. The unglazed footring is reddish-brown, the green glaze has a yellowish tinge. -
