  • loan
  • Literature notes

The well-potted vase is of wide pear shape, the bulging body tapering to a narrow trumpet-shaped neck with slightly emphasized rim flange. The glaze is of matt olive brown, reminiscent of tea dust, leaving the lowest part of the sides, foot and base exposed in the dark brown biscuit. The sides are decorated in dark brown with two quickly sketched floral sprigs around the widest part, with a row of simple dots above, all enclosed between double lines. The base has a firing crack.
